Emmerdale airs on the ITV network in the United Kingdom. The series orginally aired in the afternoons but became an early evening show in the early 1980s. It was orginally called Emmerdale Farm but was renamed just Emmerdale in 1989. The central family on the show since the beginning has been the Sugdens.

Megan is still been questioned over poisoning Noah. As Charity tells the police about their frayed relationship, it's not looking good for Megan, who continues to protest her innocence. Declan tells the police that if Megan is found guilty, he hopes they throw away the key, but he is slightly worried Charity is lying as he knows she has been stressed since they lost their baby. He suggests that they should head off to a cottage and take a break. Priya confronts Jai about his infidelity and hopes that Leyla will listen to her, as she says she has to take Megan's feelings into account. As Jai continues to doubt Megan, he kicks her and Robbie out of their home. Doug admits he still fancies Diane. Moira hosts a surprise party for Adam on the day before his hearing, before signing over 20% of the farm to him, regardless of the outcome.

The police confirm that the pesticide Noah had a reaction to was in the wine. Charity tells the police that she believes Megan has tried to poison both her and Noah. Ross tells Finn he's leaving the village as James has offered him some money. Rakesh tells Priya that Leyla is seeing Jai. Marlon finds it hard to have alone time with Laurel, forcing Doug to tell them the truth about what's going on.
