El Rey Network is putting its spin on lucha wrestling with Lucha Underground, an original unscripted series from Mark Burnett’s One Three Media.
The hour-long weekly series will feature five Luchadores: Blue Demon Jr, Sexy Star, Fenix, Drago and Pentagon Jr. Currently, Lucha Libre’s freestyle wrestling draws over 85% of Mexican television viewers, and Lucha Underground expects to bring drama, excitement and action to the U.S. as masked heroes and villains battle in the ring for wrestling supremacy.
