WATCH: Showtime Teases 'Masters of Sex,' 'Ray Donovan' Second Seasons

The summer of Showtime is set to feature plenty of scandal, sex, and other salacious doings. Never mind the new series ‘Penny Dreadful’ that premieres in May, where teasers and trailers have promised blood, temptation, and deviance. Now, we’ve got a double bill of ‘Ray Donovan’ and ‘Masters of Sex.’

The Showtime dramas return for their respective second seasons on Sunday, July 13, and the network recently released a very taut, stylish double-teaser for the two. “Secrets Become Scandals” declares the trailer, as we get a glimpse of shirtless men, stolen glances, guns, baseball bats, and a lot of people in pain.

Liev Schreiber is Ray Donovan, the titular Los Angeles fixer who himself is caught in a mess and needs help as Season 2 begins. ‘Masters of Sex’ meanwhile follows Dr. Williams Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) as researchers into human sexuality with professional and personal lives that are blurred and complicated.

The network looks to have plenty of confidence in their sophomore dramas. Just last month Showtime announced they were packaging the two series together on Sunday night. ‘Ray Donovan’ aired last summer, while ‘Masters’ rolled out in the fall where it was paired with ‘Homeland.’ Both series will feature 12 episodes in their second seasons.

‘Ray Donovan’ will lead off at 9/8c, while ‘Masters’ will follow at 10. You can check out the sleek trailer below and mark your calendar.
