House of Lies



House Of Lies is based on the book "House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time by Martin Kihn" and is a new comedy that follows management consultant, Marty (Don Cheadle) who doesn't like to lose and will do anything by using people and manipulating things to go his way. Jeannie Van Der Hooven (Kristen Bell), a co-worker of Marty's, is beside him with a razor-sharp personality to match Marty's. Together they and Marty's corporate team members, Monica (Dawn Oliveri) Jeremiah (Glynn Turman) and Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.) take what they can a run with it. Created by Matthew Carnahan (Dirt) and Martin Kihn,House Of Lies is a half-hour comedy that stretches the boundaries between work and personal relationships in a cut-throat consultant type of way.

2x12: Til Death Do Us Part recap: The episode begins in Vegas with Marty and team along with Sarah posing for a picture. Flashback to earlier in the day and the team is shown sitting in Marty’s office at GallWeather and discussing about the new shop Marty is planning to open. Doug is really apprehensive about this move, but Clyde seems completely onboard, until Marty shocks him by revealing that he has scrapped the deal with Carlson and made a new deal with Pinkass. 2x11: Hostile Takeover recap: The episode begins with Nate dropping Jeannie off at work. She runs into Marty and gang in the elevator and Doug pulls her leg about the perks that have come with her promotion. Marty talks to Tamara in private about a venture capitalist, who has agreed to give him money for his startup. She reminds him that he still has the Carlson account that needs to be handled. Marty tells her she can handle it because Carlson likes her more than him. She counters that they could lose the Carlson deal if Marty bails and suggests that he stick around at least till the deal is signed.
