The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.

The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive. (Source: AMC)

This interesting twist on a popular horror genre is longer lived that expected.

It is unwatchable as aired with interstitial commercials. Fortunately I employ ethical usenet: commercials long since killed. Read more

A glimmer of a cure as comic relief citing washington dc [fecklessness]

Find a remission agent or infect yourself with a Z-plague to be invisible. That corner is writing itself a bit too quickly with plot stretching and battle star droning threatening show death in the other bound Read more

Recaps
4x16: A recap: Carl and a random survivor open the prison gate to let Glenn, Maggie and Rick into the prison. They’re greeted by Hershel who hugs Maggie and pats Glenn on the shoulder. While the other survivors kill the Walkers who have pushed themselves against the fence Rick asks Carl if anything happened. When Carl tells him no he takes a weapon from Carol and starts to clear the fence. Hershel stands there and watches... read more.

4x15: Us recap: While Glenn, Tara, and the scientist group, walk down the tracks, Eugene talks to Tara about a funny theory involving the Walker virus and the dinosaurs. Tara, who doesn’t seem to be listening, finds a flattened coin on the track. Eugene gets a little bit excited about the prospect of using the flattened coin to make a homemade battery. After she hands it to him and they start walking again, he asks what kind of gamer she was... read more.

4x14: The Grove recap: A water pot boils on a stove, with some music that sounds like it’s on a record player playing. Outside a little girl plays tag with an adult Walker... read more.

4x13: Alone recap: Bob, looking more raggedy than usual, walks slowly through some woods with a machete sitting on his shoulder. Later he sits on a tree trunk eating some bright pink stuff with his fingers. Later, he's standing against a tree while Walkers move by. Bob continues slowly walking alone through the woods until he comes across a shelter that someone had built into the hillside. He looks up and then walks towards it. After knocking on the roof with his machete, Bob secures it by tying sticks across the opening. Once inside he sits along and drinks a bottle of cough medicine. When a Walker finds him he just lays there, drunken from the cough syrup, and watches it try to get through the bars. Bob keeps moving, slowly walking with his machete over his shoulder until he comes across a trailer for a commercial truck. From the top lies on his back and waits while a bunch of Walkers move by underneath. He walks away from the trailer but stops when he hears a vehicle. Daryl rides up on his motorcycle with Glen behind him in a truck. Bob says hello, and Daryl goes right into asking questions. He introduces himself and answers the questions, unafraid. He hasn't kept track of the number of Walkers and he's only killed one person. When Daryl asks why, he looks up at Daryl and answers, "Because she asked me to". When asked if he wanted to go with them, Bob answers plainly, that he does and he doesn't care who they are... read more.

4x12: Still recap: There's a car on the road that looks like it was swarmed by Walkers and they killed the driver. Beth and Daryl come rushing out of the bushes behind it. They're running, but they stop to inspect the car. Daryl posts as lookout while Beth inspects it. She can't start it, and the door is jammed so they jump into the trunk. Daryl ties the trunk down with his rag and holds his crossbow ready to fire. They spend a stormy night watching for the door to open. When the sun is up, and the Walkers have moved on, Daryl stays ready to shoot while Beth releases the trunk door. They get out safely and see that the car has been even more damaged and the body moved. Before moving on, they raid it for scraps; hubcaps, wires, and glass... read more.
